Bill Clinton, Daschle To Visit Denver Next Wednesday
By Jeremy PelzerFormer President Bill Clinton will be in Denver next Wednesday for a Hillary Clinton presidential campaign fundraiser in Cherry Creek, the Denver Post is reporting -- one day before President Bush comes to town.
Former Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle (D-S.D.) will also visit Denver the same day on behalf of U.S. Sen. Barack Obama's presidential campaign, the newspaper reported.
The Clinton fundraiser will be held at the home of Lee McIntire, ex-CEO of engineering and construction firm CH2M Hill. Potential co-sponsors are being asked to find five people to donate $2,300 for a private pre-reception with the former President, or 10 people to contribute $10,000 for a general pre-reception, the Post reported.
The Obama event will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 at Jazz at Jacks in the Denver Pavilions. Co-hosts for that event are requested to donate $5,000; suggested admission for attendees is $500, the article stated.
The next day, Jan. 31, President Bush will attend a Cherry Creek fundraiser for Republican U.S. Senate candidate Bob Schaffer and the Colorado Republican Party
