7/2/08 -- Today Barack Obama visited Colorado Springs where local Republicans and Independent voters alike agreed that he is out of touch with Coloradans. Barack's values just do not line up with the average Colorado voter. Record on Energy is Clear

Release Date: Jun 19 2008

By Joan Fitz-Gerald

The spike in oil and fuel costs has been catastrophic to many Colorado families.  Speculators on Wall Street and executives in Big Oil are getting rich at the expense of those that work for a living, and our nation is suffering as a result

Out of control gas prices have forced families to choose between paying for groceries, the mortgage, or gas to go to work.  No working family should have to make such a choice.  I am running for Congress to realign the energy priorities of this nation.

Why We Must Expand Our Domestic Energy Production

Release Date: Jun 19 2008

By Scott Starin

Second Congressional District Republican candidate

America is at a tipping point, Oil, energy, and food prices have skyrocketed to unprecedented levels, and there seems to be no relief in sight. Americans are hurting. Gas and oil prices have increased over 70% over the last two years and food prices have experienced double-digit inflation over the same time period. Our ability to explore and utilize domestic energy solutions is unnecessarily restricted, hampering our country's prosperity and creating a situation in which we fund countries that are ideologically and environmentally opposed to the values of America.
