Jeff Crank may have received the endorsement from the National Association of Home Builders, but Doug Lamborn should be worrying more about his lack of fundraising.
Roll Call had this to say about Lamborn's money problems:
Lamborn has struggled to raise money since winning an easy general election race in 2006 - the 5th district is overwhelmingly conservative territory - and one Republican strategist called this "a really bad sign because it is just further proof that Lamborn has failed to connect with K Street, and his fundraising numbers are further proof of it."
Lamborn closed the first quarter of this year with nearly $180,000 on hand and almost $60,000 in campaign debt.
UPDATE: So apparently, according to Roll Call, Jeff Crank didn't receive the endorsement of the National Association of Home Builders after all, as he touted on his website.
"I am honored to have the endorsement of this exceptional organization... The NAHB is the trade organization for one of the leading contributors of our local and national economy."

$5,000 equals endorsement
National HBA PAC gives Crank a $5,000 campaign cash injection - that is a financial endorsement. Problem is local HBA powerbrokers endorsed Crank and Rayburn - did local PAC protest to protect Rayburn who is running out of money?
Crank did not receive the endorsement from NAHB
Although Lamborn still has money problems, Roll Call and the rest of us are learning you cant believe everything Crank says in a press release. http://www.rollcall.com/issues/53_155/atr/26076-1.html
