The Colorado Democratic Party named Lauren Rose as the party's new communications director on Tuesday.
Rose most recently served as Iowa Communications Director for New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson's 2008 presidential campaign, a press release stated.
Before that, she worked for a national Democratic direct-mail firm, on the South Carolina press staff of Gen. Wesley Clark's presidential campaign, and with several campaigns in Texas, the release stated.
Rose replaces former communications director Matt Sugar, who left last month to become western slope field director of U.S. Rep. Mark Udall's (D-Colo.) U.S. Senate campaign.
