The downfall of the Christian Right in Colorado can't be pinned on any one cause, but in part it can be traced back to several key characters who show up repeatedly in several key parts of the tragedy. In today's Inside Edge we'll take a look at how the saved and the sinner's alike share a time in the wilderness.
In this week's edition of Winners and Losers, we take a look at a candidate not competing at the 6th CD assembly, the two U.S. Senate candidates making molehills out of mountains (or something like that), a Colonel of Marines who spent more time whining than winning votes and we let Kristi Burton take a bow. She's earned it.
Steve Ward's candidacy in the 6th Congressional race is threatend by a non-person which will appear on the ballot: "I abstain." So while the Inside Edge has always viewed Ward as the odd-man out amongst the serious contenders in the 6th, on Saturday we could have our first statistcal proof, with delegates saying that they prefer someone not on the ballot before they prefer Ward.
Every Friday, Inside Edge answers your questions about Colorado politics. This week: a vote of support for Wil Armstrong's first venture into TV advertising, Doug Lamborn's next venture into scapegoating, and a "thriller" starring Jason Bane!
With a “do nothing” Colorado legislature adjourning for the regular 2008 session, there are some clear winners, and maybe some winners that aren’t so clear. 6th CD candidate Senator Steve Ward is hosting an energy forum on April 17th in Highlands Ranch where he will discuss “the current state of the industry, break-through technologies, and options for liquid fuels,” according to the email he put out trolling for attendees.
And, oh by the way: the forum is complimentary according to the email. read more »
"I still remember one of the very first meetings we put together to discuss gang violence with a group of community leaders. We waited and waited for people to show up, and finally, a group of older people walked into the hall. And they sat down. And a little old lady raised her hand and asked, 'Is this where the bingo game is?'"
