Moore Can't Run In Green Senate Primary, State Party Says

Cementing their exclusion of Buddy Moore from the Green ticket this year, the Colorado Green Party statewide council passed a resolution last week detailing why the would-be U.S. Senate candidate was an invalid candidate for the 2008 elections.

Moore claims party bylaws supersede state law and has threatened to sue the state Green Party to get on their primary ballot against Green U.S. Senate candidate Bob Kinsey.

Moore said he was "very disappointed" by the ruling, and said it was "unknown" if he would continue to campaign as a Green.

Green Party At Odds With Would-Be U.S. Senate Candidate

MooreMooreIn his latest attempt to run for the U.S. Senate, Buddy Moore is finding it's not easy being Green.

Two months after being declared ineligible to run in the Democratic U.S. Senate primary, Moore is now being told he can't run for Senate on the Green Party ticket, either.

Colorado Green Party officials say Moore is ineligible to run under party bylaws and state law; Moore says they're misinterpreting the law and will sue if Green Party officials continue to exclude him from their party's primary ballot.
