CQpolitics today has a puff piece on Joan FitzGerald who yesterday attended the annual EMILY's List luncheon.
CQ implied in their opening that FitzGerald was running for Congress in CO-2 because she relished the thought of being in the majority saying, "Being in the majority is better."
Wow. Stellar reporting by CQ.
The rest of the piece is a rehash of FitzGerald's positions which includes, according to CQ "immediately withdrawing U.S. troops and also cutting off appropriations to fund the war," opposition to "trade pacts such as NAFTA," support of "a government-run, ‘single payer' universal health insurance program" and scrapping all of "No Child Left Behind."
Of the controversial 2001 Bush education law FitzGerald says that "she would rather repeal than amend the law because she said she had seen, during her time in the state legislature, a lot of ‘bad bills with good titles, and inevitably the bad bill bleeds through again.'
